In the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, plants from all over the world are gathered together and typical landscapes of South Tyrol are presented.
The castle houses the Touriseum - the Museum of Tourism. In the restored rooms that Empress Sisi used to inhabit, fascinating displays and interior arrangements document the development of South Tyrol into one of Europe's most popular holiday destinations.

Reinhold Messner, the South Tyrolean mountain climber, has restored the castle and has left his personal mark with a comprehensive Tibetan collection, a collection of masks from five continents, and a collection of pictures of mountains. This medieval building thus today also gives the impression of being a Tibetan monastery.

Historic, little St. Prokulus church, just outside the village of Naturno, is well-known for its wonderful Medieval frescos and has even more to offer now that a museum about its history opened in Spring 2006. The museum, housed under-ground a mere short walk from the church itself, gives visitors a fascinating, multi-media trip back into the past.
St. Leonhart/Passeier (S. Leonardo/ Val Passiria)
A new museum has been inaugurated at the Sandhof, the family inn of the Tyrolean freedom fighter Andreas Hofer (1767-1810).The figure of Andreas Hofer and the Tyrolean battle for freedom in 1809 form the main thematic points of a documentary film and many original exhibitions. A comprehensive collection of Passeier Valley folklore is housed in the former barn.
Bozen (Bolzano)
In addition to its permanent exhibit 'The Iceman', it documents the prehistory and early history of South Tyrol from the end of the last Ice Age (about 15,000 BC) to the time of Charlemagne (around 800 AD).

In the "white tower" of Sigmundskron Castle, Reinhold Messner presents "The Enchanted Mountain". During the tour the visitors are shown pictures of the most famous mountain peaks and, on the “Stage of the Gods”, mysterious figures from different mountains of the earth.

On the Schneeberg mountain, the highest mine in Europe has been nearly completely preserved. What is therefore also unique in all of Europe is the comprehensive view of 800 years of lasting mining history.
Schluderns (Sluderno)
One of the most imposing and best preserved fortifications of South Tyrol rises up above Schluderns - the Churburg, built in 1253 by the bishops of Chur. Visitors today will find a residential Renaissance castle with an arcaded courtyard, a Romanesque chapel and the largest private collection of armaments of this kind.
Unser Frau - Schnals (Val Senales)
The museum and open-air exhibition area take the visitor into the world of "Ötzi", the "Iceman". At the forefront is experiencing and comprehending prehistory, presenting the opportunity to get to know Stone Age technology and to try it out.
