By train and bicycle through Val Venosta

The new Val Venosta panorama railway line leads from Merano through the Val Venosta Valley to the quite distant village of Malles (about 60 km).

There you can rent a bicycle (Our Tip: discover the beautiful Val Venosta by train and bicycle with the combined bicycle rental and train Bikemobil Card) at the station and cycle down the Val Adige cycle path (Etschtal-Radweg) that leads you back to Merano and is gently down hill all the way.

If you become tired before arriving at Merano, just return the bicycle to any of the six train stations along the way and take the train back in comfort.
